the things that come between 1/30/23

 HELLO YOU AMAZING PEOPLE! I hope you've had the best week :)


There have definitely been a lot of highs and lows this week- one high is that our friend Armani is on date to be baptized!! We are so so excited for her, and she is so so excited too!! But we've also had days and days of knocking with no success... and that is hard. 

But those highs and those lows have made me think a lot about happiness. Because we really can be happy in both the highs and the lows of our life!! And all the middle parts too!

D&C 78:19 says, "And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious" Notice how it said all things. The highs and the lows- and even the in between middle parts! We can be thankful for all of them :)

I truly believe that a thankful heart is a happy heart. When we show gratitude for all things in our lives we have a lot more happiness, despite the situation!

So I took some time to see where I'm lacking in my life. To see where my heart might not be the most thankful, and to see what might be coming in between me and my happiness.

I was surprised to realize that I let a LOT of small things stop me from being happy. But if I want to truly walk the Saviors path and feel the kind of happiness He feels, then I need to set aside all the things that might come in between!

In between me and happiness, between me and God's will, between me and the Savior.

I'm letting go of what might come between. 

And closing that gap has allowed me to come SO much closer to Jesus Christ. And it's allowed me to feel so much happier every day. 

So this week maybe you can think about the things in your life that have come in between you and what's important to you. And then let them go. It's worth it, I promise.

  HI EVERYONE!!  This week was super good, other than the two times we got flashed :/ But it's okay, our neighbor has curtains now! But you wanna hear something crazy?? I was set apart as a missionary exactly one year ago today. That blows my mind. It has been the shortest, craziest, hardest, longest, best year of my life. And I never want it to end. I can't even begin to describe the joy I have found in serving my Savior over the last year. I'm so grateful for the change that has come in this time. In the last year I have learned so much about Jesus Christ- I've learned things I wouldn't have learned any other way. There is nowhere else I would rather be right now.   Hey hey party people! Hope you had another amazing week! This week we did a lot of knocking! And one day the craziest thing happened... we looked back and saw a lady going door to door, warning all of her neighbors not to listen to us. It was crazy! I realized how hard Satan is working to oppose this work! But I also know that God is working harder :) With all the rejection in our finding, we've also seen some amazing miracles! We met a guy this week who was SO prepared for the gospel! He was raised in a very strong faith, but he doesn't have a Christian background. What we taught him about the Book of Mormon opened his mind to Jesus Christ and it was so amazing! I'm so thankful God let me see that miracle! I've felt a LOT of opposition in this area, but I've also seen some amazing miracles. I've felt strength beyond my own pushing me forward when it's hard. I learned something about doing things cheerfully this week. I had this scripture come to me on one...

  Hey yall!! Hope you're having an AMAZING day so far! And if it's not amazing yet then I hope you go change that :) You guys wanna know what my weekly goal was this week?? To FAIL!  And before you think I'm just giving up, hear me out real quick- I don't want to be controlled by a fear of failure!! I want to go forward with faith! And I want to ALWAYS try- even if I fail the first couple times :) And yall, I did so good at this goal! The week was full of MANY fails, hahaha. But for real, as soon as I accepted that failure was a part of living I became so much more excited to try new things and to stretch myself! So that's been a party :) And I learned something about failure and success last pday- we went hiking through a cave! And that is the first time I really experienced true darkness. The whole time into the cave all I could think about was how much further we were getting from the light... and how hard it would be to get out. Seriously yall, it was an intense...
