☆ I'm home ☆ 2/6/23

 Hello everyone! 


Don't panic- I'm not back in Utah yet!! But I am home :) let me explain!!

So my whole mission I have HATED being transferred. Because then I have to say goodbye to the people I have grown to love so much. It's like my heart is just repeatedly shattered, ya know??

Well for my last 6 weeks I REALLY didn't want to do that. So many prayers were offered, miracles were expected... and then I got transferred. And I had to say goodbye to the home I had made in Cotton Hill. I love those people with my whole heart.

So now I'm in Blacksburg! And guess what? I LOVE IT! 

Day one we went and visited a couple we were teaching, and the craziest thing happened! Five minutes into our conversation I had the overwhelming feeling that I was home 

I realized that the feeling of home has happened so many times on my mission. Every time I have felt the spirit settle in a room- those places become attached to my soul. They become my home!

I thought back to all the homes I've had throughout my mission- and there have been so many different places! Living rooms, trailers, porches, that one table behind a sewing factory, church hallways, apartment basements, grassy fields, you name it! So many unusual places to feel at home, but the thing that tied them all together was the spirit. In each of these places, and so many more, I have found home. 

I spent 16 months 2000 miles away just to discover that I was already home. 

I'm at home with Jesus.

And I never have to leave :)

So I'm at home in Blacksburg, and I can't wait to he home in Utah again in a few weeks!

I hope you all know how much I love you! And I'm so grateful for the homes you have given me. I hope you have a great week and I'll talk to you soon!!

  HI EVERYONE!!  This week was super good, other than the two times we got flashed :/ But it's okay, our neighbor has curtains now! But you wanna hear something crazy?? I was set apart as a missionary exactly one year ago today. That blows my mind. It has been the shortest, craziest, hardest, longest, best year of my life. And I never want it to end. I can't even begin to describe the joy I have found in serving my Savior over the last year. I'm so grateful for the change that has come in this time. ☆ simply cheerful ☆ 1/9/23

  Hey hey party people! Hope you had another amazing week! This week we did a lot of knocking! And one day the craziest thing happened... we looked back and saw a lady going door to door, warning all of her neighbors not to listen to us. It was crazy! I realized how hard Satan is working to oppose this work! But I also know that God is working harder :) With all the rejection in our finding, we've also seen some amazing miracles! We met a guy this week who was SO prepared for the gospel! He was raised in a very strong faith, but he doesn't have a Christian background. What we taught him about the Book of Mormon opened his mind to Jesus Christ and it was so amazing! I'm so thankful God let me see that miracle! I've felt a LOT of opposition in this area, but I've also seen some amazing miracles. I've felt strength beyond my own pushing me forward when it's hard. I learned something about doing things cheerfully this week. I had this scripture come to me on one...

  Hey yall!! Hope you're having an AMAZING day so far! And if it's not amazing yet then I hope you go change that :) You guys wanna know what my weekly goal was this week?? To FAIL!  And before you think I'm just giving up, hear me out real quick- I don't want to be controlled by a fear of failure!! I want to go forward with faith! And I want to ALWAYS try- even if I fail the first couple times :) And yall, I did so good at this goal! The week was full of MANY fails, hahaha. But for real, as soon as I accepted that failure was a part of living I became so much more excited to try new things and to stretch myself! So that's been a party :) And I learned something about failure and success last pday- we went hiking through a cave! And that is the first time I really experienced true darkness. The whole time into the cave all I could think about was how much further we were getting from the light... and how hard it would be to get out. Seriously yall, it was an intense...
