Anticipating Jesus :) 12/26/2022

I just gotta say it... IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!

That's how church closed yesterday :) Right before the prayer Brother Wohlford just bursted it out! And it was perfect, because it's the best news, you can't hold it in!

I just love the Christmas season, and I think this was my best Christmas yet. For the first time I went to sleep not thinking about the gifts I would get to open, but about the gift that has already come!! I got to spend the season anticipating Jesus- and I know He will never disappoint. 

Whatever December 25th happens to look like- snow storms, power outages, creepy old men giving you a love letter (rip Sister Meik)- it can't ruin Christmas! Not if you're looking forward to Jesus Christ. 

And what's so great about Christmas is that it HAPPENED! He came, we're not just waiting! God Himself came down to us, with us!! That means all those things about Christmas we look forward to- hope, light, happiness- they're real. And we can have them all year long, because He came. The joy doesn't stop on December 26th, Jesus stays with us. I'm so grateful we have Christmas to remind us of that :)

I just gotta say it- HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!! 

I hope we can all take some time this week to reflect on the joy and the hope and the happiness that Jesus has brought to this earth, and maybe we can give something back this next year.

I love you all and I hope you have another wonderful week- go make it great!!

  HI EVERYONE!!  This week was super good, other than the two times we got flashed :/ But it's okay, our neighbor has curtains now! But you wanna hear something crazy?? I was set apart as a missionary exactly one year ago today. That blows my mind. It has been the shortest, craziest, hardest, longest, best year of my life. And I never want it to end. I can't even begin to describe the joy I have found in serving my Savior over the last year. I'm so grateful for the change that has come in this time. In the last year I have learned so much about Jesus Christ- I've learned things I wouldn't have learned any other way. There is nowhere else I would rather be right now. But I don't want to give Jesus Christ just 18 months, I want to give Him my life!!   Hey hey party people! Hope you had another amazing week! This week we did a lot of knocking! And one day the craziest thing happened... we looked back and saw a lady going door to door, warning all of her neighbors not to listen to us. It was crazy! I realized how hard Satan is working to oppose this work! But I also know that God is working harder :) With all the rejection in our finding, we've also seen some amazing miracles! We met a guy this week who was SO prepared for the gospel! He was raised in a very strong faith, but he doesn't have a Christian background. What we taught him about the Book of Mormon opened his mind to Jesus Christ and it was so amazing! I'm so thankful God let me see that miracle! I've felt a LOT of opposition in this area, but I've also seen some amazing miracles. I've felt strength beyond my own pushing me forward when it's hard. I learned something about doing things cheerfully this week. I had this scripture come to me on one...

HI I HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GREAT DAY! March 21, 2022

  Hey everyone! Fun fact, this is the third weekly email I have written today, and every single one of them has deleted. So if this one doesn't work I'm giving up, hahaha. But this week has been super good! We got to do a lot of knocking, with varying levels of success. The ones that don't work out are usually pretty exciting, though! We had a fully nude man come to the door and say "I'm neked! Fixin to take a bath! Come back later." It might be a little awkward to come back another time, but hey! I can be awkward for Jesus :) We met some other people while knocking who were SUPER interested! One lady had actually read the Book of Mormon before and she LOVED it! She literally jumped for joy, hahaha. Her and her sister came to church with us yesterday and it was an absolute party!! They brought a 2 year old with them, and there are definitely not that many kids in our branch... so people weren't quite sure how to respond to a little boy running up and down ...
