turn to the lord in the good and the bad !! September 19, 2022

 Hey yall!


This has been such a good one! And I'm so sorry- I'm out of time so I apologize if this makes no sense at all! But here we go anyway!

But this week we accidentally went to a concert... but then it worked out because we got to dance with these cute girls who said they were "very interested" in learning about our beliefs- yay!!

Oh, other miracle, I've been having these really bad constant headaches that NEVER go away (kind of the most annoying thing) but for some reason every time I teach someone my pain completely goes away! Isn't that so cool?? I think it's the best tender mercy ever :)

We had so many other good things, but I just want to share the biggest thing I learned with you- how to turn to the Lord in the good AND the bad times. Sometimes I focus on what we can do when things are hard, but lately I've been wondering what it looks like to lean on the Lord in your good moments too. And here's what I got: GRATITUDE!!

We don't just thank God for delivering us from the darkness, but also for delivering us into the light! Isaiah 25:8-9 says "He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces...Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation" 

I just absolutely love that verse! The Lord will comfort us in our hard times, but the whole reason He wipes our tears is for us to focus on the good ahead!! It's okay to be glad, it's okay to rejoice. Turning to the Lord in our good and our bad times means to express gratitude for all the light He has brought into our lives :) 

It means I can be grateful to not have a headache while I teach, even if it doesn't go away forever. I can choose to be happy!

Gratitude has made me so much happier, and I know it will do the same for you!!

  HI EVERYONE!!  This week was super good, other than the two times we got flashed :/ But it's okay, our neighbor has curtains now! But you wanna hear something crazy?? I was set apart as a missionary exactly one year ago today. That blows my mind. It has been the shortest, craziest, hardest, longest, best year of my life. And I never want it to end. I can't even begin to describe the joy I have found in serving my Savior over the last year. I'm so grateful for the change that has come in this time.   Hey hey party people! Hope you had another amazing week! This week we did a lot of knocking! And one day the craziest thing happened... we looked back and saw a lady going door to door, warning all of her neighbors not to listen to us. It was crazy! I realized how hard Satan is working to oppose this work! But I also know that God is working harder :) With all the rejection in our finding, we've also seen some amazing miracles! We met a guy this week who was SO prepared for the gospel! He was raised in a very strong faith, but he doesn't have a Christian background. What we taught him about the Book of Mormon opened his mind to Jesus Christ and it was so amazing! I'm so thankful God let me see that miracle! I've felt a LOT of opposition in this area, but I've also seen some amazing miracles. I've felt strength beyond my own pushing me forward when it's hard.   Hey yall!! Hope you're having an AMAZING day so far! And if it's not amazing yet then I hope you go change that :) You guys wanna know what my weekly goal was this week?? To FAIL!  And before you think I'm just giving up, hear me out real quick- I don't want to be controlled by a fear of failure!! I want to go forward with faith! And I want to ALWAYS try- even if I fail the first couple times :) And yall, I did so good at this goal! The week was full of MANY fails, hahaha. But for real, as soon as I accepted that failure was a part of living I became so much more excited to try new things and to stretch myself! So that's been a party :) And I learned something about failure and success last pday- we went hiking through a cave! And that is the first time I really experienced true darkness. The whole time into the cave all I could think about was how much further we were getting from the light... and how hard it would be to get out. Seriously yall, it was an intense...
