catch the vision !! September 5, 2022

 Hey hey yall!! This week has been one for the books :)


We had a TON of things happen, even though we had a few things slow us down... we got locked out (guess whos fault that was. Yep, mine!) and Sister Collotzi had to ram the door down. But by the power of God we got back into the apartment without calling a locksmith! Yay!

Also by the power of God we have survived over a week of driving on a flat tire, so that's pretty cool! Didn't slow us down one bit! 

This week we realized we needed to do a whole lot of finding, so as we were praying to be led to those who were prepared we got a referral for a man named Wilbert! We showed up at his house and... he was absolutely NOT interested. But instead of giving up, we found that the rest of his family was! We were so excited!!

We've met with them a couple times this week and they are really progressing. I know they were so prepared :) It's amazing to me to see the effect missionary work can have on a life. It's affected me and it's affected every individual that chooses to listen to the spirit.

That's something we talked with our bishop about this week- how we can help the members of Martinsville "catch the vision" of missionary work. What is the gospel if we don't share it??

I found a scripture this week that talks about missionary work and I just love it! It's in 1 Timothy 4:16 and it says "in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee" I just know that there are so many good things that come from missionary work, from sharing what you know!! Our testimonies, the light of the gospel, are so needed in this world!

I know there is someone in your life right now that needs to hear your testimony! They need the light that you have. It doesn't do us any good to hold the good in. So share it!! Pray about it! I know you will be led to someone who is searching for light :)

Catch the vision, ya'll!! AND GET EXCITED ABOUT IT!!

  HI EVERYONE!!  This week was super good, other than the two times we got flashed :/ But it's okay, our neighbor has curtains now! But you wanna hear something crazy?? I was set apart as a missionary exactly one year ago today. That blows my mind. It has been the shortest, craziest, hardest, longest, best year of my life. And I never want it to end. I can't even begin to describe the joy I have found in serving my Savior over the last year. I'm so grateful for the change that has come in this time. In the last year I have learned so much about Jesus Christ- I've learned things I wouldn't have learned any other way. There is nowhere else I would rather be right now.   Hey hey party people! Hope you had another amazing week! This week we did a lot of knocking! And one day the craziest thing happened... we looked back and saw a lady going door to door, warning all of her neighbors not to listen to us. It was crazy! I realized how hard Satan is working to oppose this work! But I also know that God is working harder :) With all the rejection in our finding, we've also seen some amazing miracles! We met a guy this week who was SO prepared for the gospel! He was raised in a very strong faith, but he doesn't have a Christian background. What we taught him about the Book of Mormon opened his mind to Jesus Christ and it was so amazing! I'm so thankful God let me see that miracle! I've felt a LOT of opposition in this area, but I've also seen some amazing miracles. I've felt strength beyond my own pushing me forward when it's hard.   Hey yall!! Hope you're having an AMAZING day so far! And if it's not amazing yet then I hope you go change that :) You guys wanna know what my weekly goal was this week?? To FAIL!  And before you think I'm just giving up, hear me out real quick- I don't want to be controlled by a fear of failure!! I want to go forward with faith! And I want to ALWAYS try- even if I fail the first couple times :) And yall, I did so good at this goal! The week was full of MANY fails, hahaha. But for real, as soon as I accepted that failure was a part of living I became so much more excited to try new things and to stretch myself! So that's been a party :) And I learned something about failure and success last pday- we went hiking through a cave! And that is the first time I really experienced true darkness. The whole time into the cave all I could think about was how much further we were getting from the light... and how hard it would be to get out. Seriously yall, it was an intense...
