☆ WORK HARD, PRAY OFTEN, ALWAYS GO FORWARD ☆ July 4th 2022

 HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYBODY!!


Let me just tell ya, this week was WILD! Like, for real. 

We had a TON happen this week, but the biggest thing was when I found out I am being transferred out of Peterstown. My heart is a little sad :(

I am so so grateful that I was blessed to serve in this amazing place, every single person here as touched my life so much! I am just beyond blessed to have known them all :)

I was looking back at my journal at all the time I have spent in Peterstown, and I remembered that I was honestly TERRIFIED when I first got here. There was so much change and I didn't know what lay ahead! So how was I supposed to go forward? 

Even though that time was so scary, I'm so glad I was able to walk forward in faith because there were SO many blessings on that path! Blessings I would have never seen if I stayed back because of doubt or fear. Remembering that experience makes it a lot easier to move forward now.

Brother Mann shared his testimony with me because I am leaving, and he told me that his motto when he ran across America (yes, like Forest Gump) was "Work hard, pray often, always go forward." I think I want that to be my life motto. I know that there is fear in the future, but I also know that God is in the future! So I'm going to focus on Him instead of the fear :)

I hope that you all choose to remember when you saw the Lord in your story, and trust that He will be there further along as well- just take the step.

  HI EVERYONE!!  This week was super good, other than the two times we got flashed :/ But it's okay, our neighbor has curtains now! But you wanna hear something crazy?? I was set apart as a missionary exactly one year ago today. That blows my mind. It has been the shortest, craziest, hardest, longest, best year of my life. And I never want it to end. I can't even begin to describe the joy I have found in serving my Savior over the last year. I'm so grateful for the change that has come in this time. In the last year I have learned so much about Jesus Christ- I've learned things I wouldn't have learned any other way. There is nowhere else I would rather be right now. But I don't want to give Jesus Christ just 18 months, I want to give Him my life!!   Hey hey party people! Hope you had another amazing week! This week we did a lot of knocking! And one day the craziest thing happened... we looked back and saw a lady going door to door, warning all of her neighbors not to listen to us. It was crazy! I realized how hard Satan is working to oppose this work! But I also know that God is working harder :) With all the rejection in our finding, we've also seen some amazing miracles! We met a guy this week who was SO prepared for the gospel! He was raised in a very strong faith, but he doesn't have a Christian background. What we taught him about the Book of Mormon opened his mind to Jesus Christ and it was so amazing! I'm so thankful God let me see that miracle! I've felt a LOT of opposition in this area, but I've also seen some amazing miracles. I've felt strength beyond my own pushing me forward when it's hard.   Hey everyone! Fun fact, this is the third weekly email I have written today, and every single one of them has deleted. So if this one doesn't work I'm giving up, hahaha. But this week has been super good! We got to do a lot of knocking, with varying levels of success. The ones that don't work out are usually pretty exciting, though! We had a fully nude man come to the door and say "I'm neked! Fixin to take a bath! Come back later." It might be a little awkward to come back another time, but hey! I can be awkward for Jesus :) We met some other people while knocking who were SUPER interested! One lady had actually read the Book of Mormon before and she LOVED it! She literally jumped for joy, hahaha. Her and her sister came to church with us yesterday and it was an absolute party!! They brought a 2 year old with them, and there are definitely not that many kids in our branch... so people weren't quite sure how to respond to a little boy running up and down ...
