Jesus Fills June 20, 2022

 Hellooo friends!! This week I learned why West Virginia has the nickname "Wild & Wonderful"!! I think that's the only way to describe it, hahaha. 


There have been some WILD stories this week- we watched a guy bash his own pastor right in front of us and tell his congregation that we were the only true church on earth. Then he told us that he is still happy going to that church and doesn't want to change. I also had a hillbilly sing me a love song in front of a HUGE crowd. That his wife was in. A little bit embarrassing, but hey! It was actually a pretty good love song... so I'm not complaining :)

I was looking back today and realizing how much my life has changed since my mission. If you knew me before my mission, I was a little bit of a mess. I cried a LOT (and yes, I still do, haha) but I could never figure out what was wrong or why I was feeling so lost! I looked everywhere I could think to find happiness, but, for some reason, I just had this empty feeling that I couldn't seem to get rid of.

Miraculously, all of that has changed now. I have found that missing peice that made me feel so empty for so long! It wasn't West Virginia I was missing, it wasn't my name tag, it wasn't my mission. The thing that has filled my hole is my Savior, Jesus Christ. 

My relationship with Jesus Christ has changed my life! There is no other way to have lasting happiness. I've tried the other ways, and I'm telling you- they don't work! My biggest hope for every single one of you is that you have a desire to grow closer to Christ. Learn about Him! Reach out for Him! He is there! I know that once you find your Savior, your life will change in the most brilliant ways that you can't even imagine right now.

He loves you so much, and so do I :) Have a great week!!

  HI EVERYONE!!  This week was super good, other than the two times we got flashed :/ But it's okay, our neighbor has curtains now! But you wanna hear something crazy?? I was set apart as a missionary exactly one year ago today. That blows my mind. It has been the shortest, craziest, hardest, longest, best year of my life. And I never want it to end. I can't even begin to describe the joy I have found in serving my Savior over the last year. I'm so grateful for the change that has come in this time. In the last year I have learned so much about Jesus Christ- I've learned things I wouldn't have learned any other way. There is nowhere else I would rather be right now. But I don't want to give Jesus Christ just 18 months, I want to give Him my life!!   Hey hey party people! Hope you had another amazing week! This week we did a lot of knocking! And one day the craziest thing happened... we looked back and saw a lady going door to door, warning all of her neighbors not to listen to us. It was crazy! I realized how hard Satan is working to oppose this work! But I also know that God is working harder :) With all the rejection in our finding, we've also seen some amazing miracles! We met a guy this week who was SO prepared for the gospel! He was raised in a very strong faith, but he doesn't have a Christian background. What we taught him about the Book of Mormon opened his mind to Jesus Christ and it was so amazing! I'm so thankful God let me see that miracle! I've felt a LOT of opposition in this area, but I've also seen some amazing miracles. I've felt strength beyond my own pushing me forward when it's hard.   Hey everyone! Fun fact, this is the third weekly email I have written today, and every single one of them has deleted. So if this one doesn't work I'm giving up, hahaha. But this week has been super good! We got to do a lot of knocking, with varying levels of success. The ones that don't work out are usually pretty exciting, though! We had a fully nude man come to the door and say "I'm neked! Fixin to take a bath! Come back later." It might be a little awkward to come back another time, but hey! I can be awkward for Jesus :) We met some other people while knocking who were SUPER interested! One lady had actually read the Book of Mormon before and she LOVED it! She literally jumped for joy, hahaha. Her and her sister came to church with us yesterday and it was an absolute party!! They brought a 2 year old with them, and there are definitely not that many kids in our branch... so people weren't quite sure how to respond to a little boy running up and down ...
