Let the Savior be the Savior :) April 11, 2022

 HELLO AMAZING PEOPLE! I am just so happy that I get to talk to you all today :)


Let me tell you about my week!! On Monday, I ate bobcat! From the side of the road! The elders found it and cooked it :) Roadkill is actually SUPER delicious!! Who knew, right?? On an unrelated note- I was sick half the week. Kind of came out of nowhere.

Even though we were sick for a little bit, I was just so happy to be here in West Virginia! I JUST LOVE MY MISSION! Every day my love grows. Love for the people here, for the work, for all of you back home, and for the Savior :) One thing I'm learning, though, is to let that love be a light and not a weight! 

I was talking to my mission president this week and I was telling him about all the people and things I loved, and as I listed them off I just expressed all the worries I had about them. I couldn't focus on the wonderful things happening because I was so nervous about what could go wrong! How I might mess something up, or not do something right, to help the people I love. And then he said my FAVORITE sentence ever: "Let the Savior be the Savior."

Isn't that just the coolest thing you've ever heard in your entire life?! When I think about it my mouth hurts because I can't stop BEAMING! Jesus can do this. He can help you, He can help those you love :) Just let Him! Let Him heal, restore, love, protect, fight for, fill, comfort, lead, support, lift, guide. Let the Savior do what the Savior does best. Let Him save.

I really love you all so much :) How lucky am I to have such incredible people in my life?! It's crazy! I am beyond blessed. I hope you have the BEST week ever, and that you notice Jesus in every moment of it. LOVE YALL!

  HI EVERYONE!!  This week was super good, other than the two times we got flashed :/ But it's okay, our neighbor has curtains now! But you wanna hear something crazy?? I was set apart as a missionary exactly one year ago today. That blows my mind. It has been the shortest, craziest, hardest, longest, best year of my life. And I never want it to end. I can't even begin to describe the joy I have found in serving my Savior over the last year. I'm so grateful for the change that has come in this time. In the last year I have learned so much about Jesus Christ- I've learned things I wouldn't have learned any other way. There is nowhere else I would rather be right now. But I don't want to give Jesus Christ just 18 months, I want to give Him my life!!   Hey hey party people! Hope you had another amazing week! This week we did a lot of knocking! And one day the craziest thing happened... we looked back and saw a lady going door to door, warning all of her neighbors not to listen to us. It was crazy! I realized how hard Satan is working to oppose this work! But I also know that God is working harder :) With all the rejection in our finding, we've also seen some amazing miracles! We met a guy this week who was SO prepared for the gospel! He was raised in a very strong faith, but he doesn't have a Christian background. What we taught him about the Book of Mormon opened his mind to Jesus Christ and it was so amazing! I'm so thankful God let me see that miracle! I've felt a LOT of opposition in this area, but I've also seen some amazing miracles. I've felt strength beyond my own pushing me forward when it's hard.   Hey yall!! Hope you're having an AMAZING day so far! And if it's not amazing yet then I hope you go change that :) You guys wanna know what my weekly goal was this week?? To FAIL!  And before you think I'm just giving up, hear me out real quick- I don't want to be controlled by a fear of failure!! I want to go forward with faith! And I want to ALWAYS try- even if I fail the first couple times :) And yall, I did so good at this goal! The week was full of MANY fails, hahaha. But for real, as soon as I accepted that failure was a part of living I became so much more excited to try new things and to stretch myself! So that's been a party :) And I learned something about failure and success last pday- we went hiking through a cave! And that is the first time I really experienced true darkness.
